Zeon, a Japanese chemical compounds company, is making ready to construct a Li-ion battery binder manufacturing line by way of its subsidiary Zeon Chemical compounds at its Texas plant.
Zeon expects the brand new facility to be operational by 2026. Zeon’s Li-ion battery binders embody anode, cathode, practical layer (for separator coating) and sealant binders and supplies for battery cells. Zeon’s new manufacturing line will serve the rising North American and European Li-ion battery markets regionally.
Zeon produces Zetpol hydrogenated nitrile rubber (HNBR) at its Texas plant along with binders together with its aqueous styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) binders for unfavourable electrodes.
