The Italians would’ve constructed a seashore automobile out of something within the Nineteen Sixties. What began out as 500/600-based Jollys advanced into all method of open automobiles based mostly on the 600 and, apparently, its successor, the Fiat 850.

Rear-engined, the 850 was obtainable as a two-door coupe and, maybe extra famously, the Spider. The 850 was provided with three completely different inline-fours starting from 817 to 903cc. It’s unclear what this one has.

However what it does have is seems to be. Styled by Giovanni Michelotti, the Spiaggetta, which was also called the Shellette, was a limited-run seashore automobile. It was a step up from a Jolly in that it doesn’t have a wicker inside. Simply 80 have been constructed, and RM says it’s good to be used as yacht tender.
